Complications Of Liposuction

Infections

With any surgical procedure there is always a risk of infection. Embolism

Nerve compression which can create pain or loss of sensation (feeling) in the area of the liposuction.  Swelling is somewhat common after surgery and can last for weeks and even months.

Fatalities

This is very unfortunate but does happen. An example is Kanye Wests mother dying from complications of her liposuction. There are two types of ultrasonic liposuction. There is the internal procedure using the vibrating cannula and there is the external method with a vibrating machine used on the outer epidermis (skin), just before performing the actual liposuction.
