Many people who undergo liposuction are happy with their results. Knowing the risks of liposuctin going into the surgery is critical. Because it is a medical procedure, there are risks you need to be aware of.
Knowing these risks and potential complications will help you weigh the pros and cons of going through with your liposuction. Talking with friends and acquaintances who have gone through it will give you some insight, but try not to be influenced by their opinions. Ultimately, you must decide for yourself if the risks are worth it.

Complications Of Liposuction
Infections
With any surgical procedure there is always a risk of infection. Many of the surgeons actually prescribe antibiotics to their patients. Embolism
An embolism may occur because the fat can get loose and enter your blood stream through rupture blood vessels during the surgical procedure. These chunks of fat get trapped and can get into your lungs, or even into your brain. The symptoms can be shortness of breath or having difficulty with your breathing. Immediately seek medical assistance if this occurs.
Other risks can be visceral perforations which are puncture wounds that occur in your organs. Seroma which is a pooling of serum in the same area the fat was removed. After liposuction, there may be a pooling of serum, the straw colored liquid from your blood, in areas where tissue has been removed. Nerve compression which can create pain or loss of sensation (feeling) in the area of the liposuction. Swelling is somewhat common after surgery and can last for weeks and even months.
Fatalities
This is very unfortunate but does happen. An example is Kanye Wests mother dying from complications of her liposuction. That brought a huge awareness to the public in regards to picking a credible plastic surgeon. Miss West was told she should not go through with it but decided to find a doctor who would do the surgery and she paid the ultimate price with her life.
As you can see, sometimes vanity comes at a cost. You must educate yourself on what are the risks of liposuction.
